Letter
From The Editor...
What an honor to be assigned editor of
the Las Vegan. It is a life dream come true. As a pig-tailed
junior high school girl, writing compositions for my friends
because I liked to write, I knew where I wanted to be someday.
 My
first association with the Las Vegan was an interview with Las
Vegas’ brand new Mayor Goodman. Since then I’ve had
the pleasure of visiting with both Jerry Lewis and Wayne Newton
for our cover stories. What better way to get close to the heart
of this city and its history?
Our
publication has changed tremendously since then. Perhaps you’ve
noticed the evolution, the changes that never end as we endeavor
to bring you, the reader, exactly what you want.
My
personal mission statement is to do just that and toward that
end we will soon launch a dialogue between the magazine and
the readers. "Letters To The Editor" will become a
mainstay you can count on, and we do encourage you to let us
know what you think—about anything in or about our magazine.
Take
issue if you choose; compliments or complaints will be considered,
and the best will be published with a brief editorial response.
What has to come of this will be our continuing evolution toward
a magazine you read from cover to cover.
