This month, we are deviating from our regular
schedule to report on the seniors number one sports activity, and probably the main
reason for wanting to live in Las Vegas GOLF. Las Vegas offers 365 days of golfing
paradise, excluding a few days of foul weather, with the fall and spring seasons being the
most comfortable.
As stated in past columns, the Las Vegas area has more
quality, top rated golf courses within its boundaries (within a 1-1/2 hour ride), than any
metropolitan area in the world. Due to space limitations, I can only list a few including
the name, telephone number, website if available, course designer (CD), price (P) which
depends on the season, and some side information. Most courses take reservations up to 60
days in advance, some 30 days, and a few at 7 days. Advance reservation time will be
indicated by (A). All golf courses are par 72.

characteristics include occasional forced carries over canyons and gorges, sloping greens,

flatter greens; therefore rewarding good shots with many possible birdie putts. Facility
also has an all grass, lighted putting course.

Southern Nevada, located in a Del Webb resort style community.
BADLANDS GOLF CLUB: (800) GO TRY 18, (CD) Johnny Miller with

full-service practice facility.

through custom homes on the back nine. A spacious grass driving range, with practice
chipping and putting greens available.
